About TrustTheCalcs

TrustTheCalcs publishes construction and material calculators with one rule: every number shows its source. We started with masonry because it is a niche where the published math is often simply wrong. For a single 8 in block, per-fill volumes on the web range from about 0.014 to 0.25 ft³, while the sourced answer sits between roughly 0.302 and 0.321 ft³. A figure off by ten or twenty times is not a rounding quibble. It is a material order that comes up short or badly over-buys.

What we do differently

Behind each result is a typed, cited constant, and we show that citation next to the number so you can check it. Where two credible methods disagree, we show both rather than blending them into a single figure whose origin you cannot trace. Where a figure is not yet confirmed against a primary source, we say so instead of guessing. Our full method is on the methodology page, and every constant is listed on the sources page, which is generated directly from the code.

What we are not

We are a material-estimating resource, not a design service. Our tools do not replace engineered drawings, and nothing on this site has been reviewed or stamped by a licensed engineer. We do not claim professional credentials; we claim traceable sources. For anything structural or code-related, use our numbers to plan and then confirm the design with a qualified professional. How it is built

The site is static, free, and requires no account. Calculators run in your browser and send nothing to a server. Reference data ships as version-controlled modules, so changes are tracked and auditable over time.
